Inspired by the theme 'Rooted in the Past Planted in the Present'
Large coil built 'Mother Earth' based on ancient Neolithic, small female figures found in excavations and planted with the herb Rosemary that was possibly used by our Ancestors in the past and used by ourselves in the present.
The sculpture is cave like in nature, surface texture imprinted with ferns, fossils and running Antelope like creatures taken from original cave paintings found in an area of France, painted and stained simply with iron and manganese oxides, which occur naturally in rocks and fossils.
